Solovair is a British shoe manufacturer, originally founded as a co-operative in 1881. Over its long history Solovair has made boots for the British army and in 1959 it helped to create the first pair of Dr. Martens boots.
Solovair were making shoes and boots for Dr. Martens in the eights and nineties so if you had a pair of Docs back then they were made by these guys. and if you get 6-7 years out of docs now you will probably get 20 years out of Solovair.
It's a small price to pay for a better quality shoe or boot.
